What is a good book of poetry I should get someone as a gift?
I myself, unfortunately, am not big into poetry but my sister very much is. She likes inspirational, deep meaning type poetry and/or quotes. Does anybody recommend any good authors or complete books of poetry that would be good as a christmas present? Please be specific.

The first thing you should do is see what poetry books your sister already has. I don’t think you could go wrong with a decent used copy of anything by Robert Frost, Carl Sandberg, Walt Whitman, ee cummings, Ezra Pound or Edgar Allan Poe. You could also get her an anthology of poems by different poets. http://www.amazon.com should have plenty of poetry collections, new & used.
Try looking over some poetry books by new authors at http://www.createspace.com or look for anything from the victorian era it’s a great time when poetry truly was beautiful
I recommend getting her a book called Best-Loved Poems: A Collection of More Than 200 Favorite Verses, edited by Patricia A. Pingry. It was published by Ideals Publications and is full of wonderful poems by various famous poets and contains many lovely photographs. It even comes with a built-in bookmark. It is definitely one of my favorite books. I just went to Bookfinder.com and there are many places on the internet selling it.
