Waxing Poetics – Happy Days

A fan favorite from the ‘Hermitage’ sessions, presented here in a live/concept edit, with candid & tour footage from all eras of the band. This song was one of the most-requested in the WP canon, but unfortunately never made it to vinyl/CD. This is a raw mix from the fingers and sliders of Mitch Easter, cut as a quick ‘take home’ in March ’86 before the final mix. Everything’s gone long.

I have very fond memories of The Poetics. I was one of the lucky ones who knew them well from the very beginning. Great guys — ALL of the them! Easily the best band to ever come out of the Hampton Roads area. And now we all know how timeless they are … these songs still sound as fresh as they did back in the 80s.
