With the busyness of the holidays quickly approaching, do we need time to experience the beauty of the holiday season? Betsy Christensen, a sixty-year collector and frequent exhibitor of cr?che art, showcases the most essential message of Christmas through worldwide portrayals of the birth of Jesus Christ in her new book.
In Manger Lowly The World Wide Christmas Nativity in Poetry, Carols and Cr?che Art (published by AuthorHouse), combines photography and poetry about nativities based on Christensens extensive experience collecting and exhibiting cr?che art.
What I love most about nativities is the different interpretations of nativities every artist offers, says Christensen. After many years of collecting this art, I wanted to celebrate the message of the holiday season through art and poetry.
Christensens experience with cr?ches and love for the Christmas season is exhibited throughout the book. She started her twenty-five year cr?che exhibit in 1983 with other collectors and it grew to over one thousand nativities representing one hundred and eleven countries worldwide.
I would love to help the public experience the beauty and tenderness available when viewing exquisite and artistic views about the birth of Jesus Christ, says Christensen. This book will help others experience both artistic portrayals of Christmas combined with tender poetry.
