This book not only contains a lot of excellent literature, but it also gives instruction on how to read and analyze literature more effectively. This is a book I come back to again and again.

I got this book for a composition class I am taking, but I plan to keep it because it has such a vast collection of writing by a plethora of writers. DiYanni also does a wonderful job at breaking down the pieces and explaining how they come together.

Needed this book for a class, don’t think I will be selling it anytime soon. Love the poems and short stories, plus the chapter introductions help understand what you will be reading.

This book has so much information and great literature, you’re sure to be an expert by the end! I needed this for my english composition and literature class and was able to easily understand and comprehend everything! Di Yanni is a great author – very clear!
