Beat This
smack! my fingers bounce from my skull
i thrash? my brain
to beat the pain
in my brain
wince! reading papers makes me dull
i must break wind
been eating tinned

I am from the slums of Birmingham England. Such a long time ago now, I too know how beautiful a dandelion is. Did anyone ever catch the angels (as we called them) then blow on them “he loves me he loves me not!! Those & the daisy’s were the only pleasures we had.
